Wild and gratingly eager con man (Chris Brochu) talks his buddy (Jake Thomas) and a pair of potential love interests (Michelle DeShon and Arienne Mandi) — plus a hooker (Zoe Corraface) — into keeping him company while he spends spring break piloting an enormous RV from San Diego to Cabo to meet his vacationing parents. Good-natured predictability happens (as it must in all college road-trip comedies) for two-thirds of the running time. Then, in Act III, director Tony Vidal conjures up the ghost of a young singer (Mandi again) who begins to hold apparitional pow-wows with one of the girls. There isn't much in the way of cutting-edge storytelling, but as with fans of this film's Frankie & Annette predecessors, audiences likely won't be in it for the nuance. The cast is appealing, the location work in Baja is ridiculously colorful, and if you don't go in expecting too much, you won't be disappointed. (2018) — Scott Marks
