The Full Monty
Out-of-the-job factory workers decide to take up stripping as a way to make money. An Americanized adaptation of the hit British film of the same name, the Buffalo men in this musical version come across as misogynistic and unlikeable. Dated notions of masculinity dotting the script, particularlyideas of what makes a "real man," insult rather than entertain. Individual, scantily-clad performances impress and excite, but much like going to a strip club the overall experience leaves you at the end of the night with less money and little satisfaction.
