Of Mice and Men
Some productions are so powerful and well detailed they leave the viewer with one response. "Wow!" The North Coast Rep's offering of the John Steinbeck classic is such a piece. The taleof two cousins who drift through life as ranch hands with a dream is told with masterful clarity. Jacob Sidney, as diamond-in-the-rough George, and Nicholas Mongalardo-Cooper, as gentle, slow-witted Lennie, create a seamless tapestry of familial devotion and male loyalty, staving off loneliness in their own unique way. A true highlight isJohn Greenleaf'smemorable Candy, the old injured ranch hand. Director Richard Baird's insightful eye delves deep into the heart of this play.Critic's Pick.
