Sex, Drugs, Rock & Roll
Claudio Raygoza blows the roof off Ion's BLKBOX Theatre with his solo performance in Eric Bogosian's piece. Having directed himself as 10 characters, Raygoza repeatedly changes his voice and demeanor to depict an eclectic array of people from the NYC urban landscape in the 1980s. From neurotic homeless man to a hypocritical business tycoon, even a flamboyant pessimist, no one story reflects another except in rapid-fire pace. Although the material is dated, and at times redundant physicality, Raygoza brings life to the play's grit with a must-see performance. Critic's Pick.
