6th Annual Women's Symposium
The Academy of Our Lady of Peace (OLP), the oldest all-girls’ high school in San Diego, will host its Sixth Annual Women’s Symposium. Haben Girma, the first deafblind person to graduate from Harvard Law School and White House Champion of Change, will serve as the keynote speaker. Modeled after speaker panels at leading universities, OLP’s Women’s Symposium brings together top women leaders from various industries to share their insights and pathways to success with OLP students and the community. Through dialogue and modeling, these female leaders empower young women to stand up for themselves and fearlessly chase their dreams. OLP is committed to serving as a hub for thought leadership and welcomes the larger community to join for a day of learning. Funds raised from this event will support the OLP Alumnae Scholarship Endowment Fund for students who embody the charism of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet, show academic potential, and demonstrate financial need. This event is open to the public. It is a great event for all ages; from those in middle school to retirement. Tickets to OLP’s Sixth Annual Women’s Symposium are $50 for general admission and $15 for alumnae, college students, young professionals, and OLP parents.
