LUX Art Institute - Virtual Summer Art Camp 2020 Week 4 : July 13th - July 16th Title :  Tune Time Musical Creations! Teacher : Lauren Jones (Ages : 5 - 7) Price for Camp :  Members - $200., Non-members - $220 Description : This camp combines music, art, and storytelling encouraging kids to use their imagination! Campers will get creative and share musical ideas with each other. Throughout the week, campers will make personalized homemade instruments, learn to improvise with them, and create their own musical masterpieces. Campers will also practice painting to music and creating original musical stories.  Teacher's Bio : Lauren Jones is a musician, teacher, and interdisciplinary artist originally from Hartselle, Alabama. She earned her master’s degree at UC San Diego in vocal performance in 2018. Since then, she has worked as a teaching artist at The New Children’s Museum and taught elementary music through the non-profit Maestro Music. She also teaches private piano lessons and plays piano for church services. Her most recent endeavor, “Lauren’s Music Class,” involves making online educational videos for children ages 4-8. Lauren enjoys playing various instruments, singing, and creating imaginative media content for children and grown-ups alike. Some of her other hobbies include various outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, swimming, and rock climbing.
