Cinque, bass REPERTOIRE BEETHOVEN: Piano Trio in C minor, Op. 1, No. 3 BEETHOVEN: Piano Sonata No. 15 in D Major, Op. 28: Pastorale BEETHOVEN: Septet in E-flat Major, Op. 20 ABOUT We celebrate our January Festival with the works of a young Ludwig van Beethoven, whose innovations as a pianist and composer dazzled Viennese audiences. The Septet was the most popular of Beethoven’s work in his own lifetime, and in it we hear foreshadowing of the great symphonies he would later write. This concert is part of the San Diego Symphony's season-long celebration of Beethoven's 250th birthday.
