Guided Hike: Homestead Trail
Join the San Diego River Park Foundation for a free guided hike through Eagle Peak Ranch, a 414 acre open space preserve! Hikers will explore the Homestead Trail & USFS Land Ridge Trail. This 2.5 mile hike travels through oak woodland and chaparral habitats. Come enjoy a beautiful day in nature and see for yourself why the San Diego River is worth preserving! Homestead & USFS Land Ridge Trail: • Distance (Roundtrip): 2.5 • Elevation Change: 537 ft. • Difficulty: Difficult Details: • Bring at least 2 liters of water. • Wear sturdy hiking shoes and sun protection to keep yourself comfortable. • Poison oak is present, so long pants are recommended. • Pack a sack lunch or snack. • Dogs are not allowed. • This hike is not kid-friendly.
