Turkey Trot Across Eagle Peak Ranch
Want to get in the mood for the holidays and see the change of the seasons? Come see the vibrant Fall colors of Eagle Peak Ranch, a 414 acre open space preserve! The San Diego River Park Foundation is hosting a free guided turkey trot along the Horizon Rock Trail through grassland and chaparral habitats to Badger Hill and Temescal Creek Overlook. Come enjoy a beautiful day in nature and see for yourself why the San Diego River is worth preserving! Turkey Trot Across Badger Hill, Temescal Creek Overlook, and Horizon Rock Trails: • Distance (Roundtrip): 3.7 • Elevation Change: 390 ft • Difficulty: Easy to moderate How to Prepare: • Bring at least 2 liters of water. • Wear sturdy hiking shoes and sun protection to keep yourself comfortable. • Pack a sack lunch or snack. • Dogs are not allowed. • Kid-friendly • Poison oak may be present, so long pants are recommended.
