Distinguished Speaker Series: Dr. Wael Al-Delaimy
Epidemiologist Dr. Wael Al-Delaimy shares his insight on research he has conducted on dietary implications related to cancer prevention, specifically breast cancer on November 12. Dr. Al-Delaimy’s extensive body of research also addresses how the environment and the use of tobacco play a role in the development of chronic diseases, including cancer. Director of Moore’s Cancer Center Dr. Scott Lippman will help us unpack how to look at our genetic disposition to cancer and will address familial predispositions to cancer of the colon, uterus, ovaries and a few other organs—also known as the Lynch Syndrome on November 12. Although 1 out of every 300 people in the US population has the Lynch syndrome, fewer than 5 percent know they have it. Tuesday, November 12 FREE, open to the public.
