St. Paul native, Micheal ‘Eyedea’ Larsen, of Rhymesayers and HBO Blaze Battle fame, was several times over a freestyle battle rapping champion, as well as a guitar player, a break dancer, lead singer of a punk band, a poet, a philosopher, and a supportive friend to many. His art created a fandom of hundreds of thousands of people all over the world before he passed away on October 16th, 2010 of an opiate overdose. We lost something very special and The World Has No Eyedea. On October 16th, 2010, the hip-hop community mourned the loss of Eyedea when he unexpectedly passed away at just 28 years old in his St. Paul home. The World Has No Eyedea, the documentary about Eyedea's life and death will be playing in select theaters one night only.
