Eddie Stern is one of the most recognized and extraordinary teachers in the world today known for his multi-disciplinary approach to furthering education and access to yoga, as well as his teaching expertise in Ashtanga Yoga to which he devoted his entire life, including its more esoteric aspects. In this class we will look at some different ideas on what prana is, and how the breathing exercises called pranayama help to harness it. He will share some simple, safe and effective pranayama practices. -- An interactive discussion with Poonacha Machaiah on his new book “One Simple Thing” -- the discussion will cover a variety of scientific findings and yogic explanations that complement both an Eastern and Western approach to spiritual practice.
