Friends of San Diego Architecture welcomes Lawrence Herzog, Ph.D. to present a talk, Beyond Walls: Place-making and the Future of Urban Space along the U.S.—Mexico Border. Herzog is a consultant and writer, specializing in planning, sustainable development and urban design in the United States, Mexico and Latin America. He has written or edited 11 books on global/cross-border development. In 2017 he won the Society for Professional Journalism Award for Op-Ed writing in the San Diego region and was a TEDx speaker at the U.S.-Mexico TEDxMonumento event on the border in 2015. Come early for coffee. Admission is $5, but students are free. No reservations are necessary.
