Flutes and fairies enchant the San Diego Botanic Garden this summer at the costumed Fairy Festival, June 23 (free admission, kids only in costume). Take a Fairy Princess photo, decorate a magic mushroom, create a fairy baby and cradle, and other frills (small fee for crafts). On Thursday nights (May 31-August 30) the garden stays open until 8, with live entertainment from 6-7. Bring chairs for the show, then explore the garden’s delights as twilight falls. Come celebrate spring at San Diego Botanic Garden’s annual Fairy Festival for children. Youngsters can enjoy fairy crafts, face painting, a fairyland market, enchanted butterfly garden, a meeting with the Fairy Princess and more.
