Greg Douglass Band
It's a special Father's Day celebration/retrospective of the fifty years Douglass has spent playing guitar with some of rock's greatest artists. "We'll be playing music starting with my first inspiration Dick Dale & the Del Tones, morphing into my first psychedelic Sixties band, Country Weather, to Van Morrison, Hot Tuna, Terry & the Pirates with my pal Quicksilver Messenger Service guitarist John Cippolina -- yes, we'll be doing Quicksilver tunes -- Eddie Money, Paul Butterfield, Greg Kihn Band, tunes from my album Flight of the Golden Dragon with my singer/co-writer Michael Muldoon and, of course, lots of Steve Miller material played by my Miller tribute band the Pompatus of Love...it's not the amount of music I've PLAYED that surprised me, it was the amount of music i had to leave out. It's going to be a plethora of incredible music drawn from a very long and diverse career." The planned setlist also includes music made famous by Van Morrison, Eddie Money, Hot Tuna, Paul Butterfield, Big Brother & the Holding Company, and the Electric Flag.
