It may seem odd that Emerson, Lake, and Palmer drummer Carl Palmer is still out there playing the trio’s bombastic brand of stadium prog, when he was the first member to defect back in mid-80s, choosing commitments to the group Asia over a reunion tour with ELP, forcing ELP to find another “P” (Cozy Powell) to man the kit for a while. However, Palmer was already fronting ELP tributes long before the March 2016 death of keyboardist Keith Emerson, followed that December by the passing of Greg Lake, as fans can attest who saw Palmer celebrating ELP’s music at Brick by Brick back in November 2010, minus E&L. Now that Palmer is the last man standing, his tour bus arrives with guitarist Paul Bielatowicz and bassist Simon Fitzpatrick in tow, along with a trailer full of FM legacy classics and deep album cuts.
