AAZK San Diego Presents Fishing Cat Conservancy
Join the American Association of Zoo Keepers San Diego Chapter in welcoming Ashwin Naidu, co-founder and director of the Fishing Cat Conservancy for an exclusive talk on current developments in fishing cat conservation. In the San Diego Zoo's Dickerson Family Auditorium (outside the zoo).
The Fishing Cat Conservancy’s mission is to promote the long term survival of fishing cats in the wild through public education, capacity building, and community based research and conservation. Inspired by the potential of community-based conservation, Ashwin started the Fishing Cat Conservancy in 2014 to help survey and protect the endangered fishing cat and its globally important mangrove habitat. Ashwin’s work focuses on applying inter-disciplinary approaches for the conservation and management of endangered species and their habitats.
