Guest chef Chris Bianco of Pizzeria Bianco
Tribute Pizza announces an evening of cooking in collaboration with friend, mentor, and spirit chef, Chris Bianco.
Chris is both the owner of Phoenix's legendary Pizzeria Bianco, and a James Beard award-winning chef (the first chef of a pizzeria to receive the honor). Chris is widely regarded as the father of the modern pizza movement and America’s top pizzaiolo. Tribute Pizza has been greatly inspired by Chris’s restaurants, recipes, and his philosophy of developing strong relationship with farmers, local producers, staff and customers.
Join us as we welcome Chris to Tribute Pizza for one special night on August 25th. Chris and Tribute Pizza owner Matthew Lyons will be visiting the Little Italy Mercato Farmers Market and Specialty Produce early in the day to source ingredients for a few special market-inspired dishes. We will then open to the public for a dinner service from 5pm to 10pm, on a first-come-first-served basis. We’ll be featuring a menu cooked by Chris and the Tribute Pizza team, taking inspiration from the Pizzeria Bianco menu as well as recipes from Chris’s cookbook “Bianco: Pizza, Pasta, and Other Food I Like.” There will also be several Tribute dishes on the menu, celebrating Chris’s influence on what we serve on a day-to-day basis.
Reservations will be accepted for the dinner service for parties of 6 or more, based on availability. Seating will be available both inside and on our outdoor patios.
Throughout the evening, Chris will be chatting with our guests and signing his cookbook, ‘Bianco: Pizza, Pasta, and Other Food I Like,’ as possible. There will be copies of the book available to purchase or you can bring your own if you are already a proud owner.
