The idea of lowering the voting age to 16 or 17 has been bouncing around for many years. But the concept has gained momentum and publicity in the last few years, particularly as the country has watched our students take to the streets after the tragic events in Parkland, Florida. Join the League of Women Voters San Diego at our April monthly meeting for a discussion on this timely issue. Anyone is welcome to attend, we particularly encourage high school students to come learn about the issue, ask questions and voice their thoughts.
