Jefferson Jay, Charbra, Rob Deez
The Acoustic Evenings series at the Athenaeum showcases local San Diego acoustic musicians. Three performers are featured in each program and are available at the intermission reception and post-concert meet-and-greet. The project advances the Athenaeum’s commitment to support San Diego talent. The spring series concludes with the Jefferson Jay Band, Charbra, and Rob Deez. Jefferson Jay has been a lightning rod on the San Diego music scene since the beginning of the 21st century. Hosting and originating events, including Acoustic Evenings at the Athenaeum and 24 Hours of Free Music, Jay practices a uniquely inclusive approach to entertainment. Charbra features two dynamic lady rockers, Charlotte James, guitar and vocals, and Barbara Tolbert, vocals and percussion. Rob Deez, a self-professed “comedic singer-songrhymer,” who performs on the acoustic guitar, appeals to many different audiences with his improvising talents.
