Lights! Camera! Autism! Art and Film Festival
A celebration of the talents of many autistic and developmentally delayed young adults in our San Diego community who are learning valuable skills in the art music and film industry with an eye on future employment. Featured films will include short films written, produced, and starring participants in the new MADEIT (Media And Digital Education Inspiring Talent) program in conjunction with Joey Travolta's Inclusion Film program and E&CO, and Bass Clef Bliss: Terrence's Path, a documentary film about Terence Patridge, an autistic young man who has perfect pitch and plays the trombone. Terence and his jazz ensemble will be performing as part of the event. There will be an art show and light refreshments served prior to the showing of the films. Carlos Amezcua of KUSI news is Master of Ceremonies for the night. Reception and Art Exhibition begin at 5 pm. Films begin at 6 pm.
