Ocean Beach Historical Society presents Karen Scanlon's lecture on the life of San Diego aviation and waterfront pioneer Jack Allen Davis Jr.
Jack learned to fly at the age of 14 at the old Gibbs Flying Service. He built and operated the Red Sails Inn on Shelter Island and later developed Palomar Airport. San Diego writer and historian Karen Scanlon will have many photos of historic San Diego aircraft and the early development of Shelter Island.
