52 Weeks of Science: Science Girls DIY Club
567 South 28th Street, San Diego, 92113
Cost: Free
This three-part club is designed for girls in grades 6-8 who are interested in science and crafts. Part one will teach participants how to construct a simple circuit to demonstrate the flow of energy from a battery through electrical components to light an LED. The Science Girls DIY Club is co-organized by the Logan Heights Library and the Association for Women in Science San Diego. Students will also have the chance to interact with an engineer to learn about jobs and career paths in STEM.
