Jewish Food Festival
15905 Pomerado Road, Poway, 92064
Cost: $20
The sixth-annual event includes a New York deli, a Kosher grill, a wine & beer garden, music by the Simchat Shabbat Band, and demonstrations by area chefs, including Deborah Scott. Food includes “the delights of Israel, the Mediterranean, Eastern Europe, New York, Chicago, or wherever you and yours call ‘The Old Country’” — meaning latkes and blintzes, kugel and knishes, chopped liver, falafel, rugelach, and strudel. The kids can stay busy with arts and craft projects and a bouncing house.
