Background:

The Sham Saints feature Darius Degher and former Walking Wounded member Michael Packard, both from Darius and the Magnets, "playing together again after some decades," says Degher. "You never know what's gonna happen in life. I'm excited about a whole batch of new songs I've been writing. Michael and I are trading lead vocals and guitar solos and singing lots of harmonies." The band has also featured Nena Anderson bassist Patrick "Turtle" McClory, Gary Reed Johnson, Mark Windrum, and Tony Sanborn.

The group made its live debut May 7, 2016 at Mr. Peabody's in Encinitas. Degher's daughter Cleopatra Degher was 20 when she released her own debut EP in summer 2012.

The band released an "eco-single" in 2017, "Pledge of Allegiance," dealing with politics and ecology.
