Imagine that the Squirrel Nut Zippers and Elton John had a baby. Now, imagine that G Love and the Beatles had one too. One day down at the "record" store, Elton Zippers and Beatlove met by chance; accidentally touching hands as they both reached for a pristine copy of Miles Davis' Kind of Blue. "Excuse me," they each said, but neither let go. It was love at first sight, and these crazy kids spent every single breathing second together from that moment on.

Not long after, they jumped in Elton's 1970 Dodge Dart and cruised the country. In the dusty summer heat, they cranked the Violent Femmes. In the evening, they camped under the stars and fell asleep to Ray Charles and Chet Baker. Well, sure enough, Elton Zippers and Beatlove had a baby, and they decided to name him Jon. He was raised with the deep love of all kinds of music, and after this long journey the Jon Garner Trio was born.
