Musician, producer, engineer, songwriter, and Higher Ground Music founder Jesse Johnson has performed in every major city in America, as well as Europe. He has played drums, bass, guitars, and keys for multiple acts across the country and in the studio on numerous records. After leaving the Boston Conservatory of Music to join the Broadway musical Hairpsray, Jesse began developing his production and performance résumé in San Diego and later New York City.

Jesse has played and recorded with such bands as WRECKETH, Settly, Rice Rokit, the James Haworth Band, and the Jesse Johnson Band. As an engineer, he has been lucky enough to work with and learn from Grammy award-winning engineer Ibo Rodriguez. He has also been blessed to work with such artists as Ashley Parker Angel, Naturi Naughton, Tevin Campbell, Diana DeGarmo, Sabrina Sloan, Darlene, Alan Childs, Frank Canino, and many more.
