Smooth Jazz only? Are you kidding me?? Aubrey is Funk, Soul, R&B, and Blues and some of the old standard Jazz and American Songbook standards.. He can go the smooth jazz route but that certainly is NOT all he does. Ever seen a room full of people dancing and jamming to to smooth jazz? Oh heck no! Aubrey gets people on their feet and dancing the night away!! As for his influences, everything written above, by The Reader, is WAY off the mark! Who in the heck listed all those female artists as his influences?? (Rolls eyes) Try Lou Rawls, Barry White and a ton of others in the R&B genera His main instrument these days is Trombone. He also plays drums pretty darned good too. Probably plays keys too but I've never seen him playing keys on stage. Aubrey is a front man and does it better than most. He's got a rich set of pipes that make the ladies swoon and the guys envious. Go see for yourself. Try the Humphrey's brunch on Sundays, from 10 AM to 2 PM. Aubrey is there once a month. Check Humphrey's website for the dates. Then you can ask Aubrey where he's playing at night!
