Recorded in just three days, the six-song EP is rockabilly punk that has been scribbled on, crumpled up, and turned inside out by its pointed, indie core.

The first cut, "Death Vulcan Grip," will attract interest, but it's the persistent funk riffs in "Road Kill Constant" that will suck you in.

There are different styles on the EP; falling somewhere between one you can scream along to and one you can chill out with is the addictive "Hookah Afternoon." The textures of the song range from a boredom-induced dirge to the glory of hard rocking.

"Well, I'm not myself when I can find my apothecary, mind if I take a seat right next to you?" The bros go on to seductively coo, "Are you willin' to take a hookah afternoon?" until the track's end.

The high-energy duo put their thoughts on display with the contemplative ballad "Ashes and Stashes," where Peat's melancholy softens the sentiment in the words "She's an angel, but like a fly, I have an urge to pull off her wings."

Listeners might have to shrug off some of the kooky eccentricities (like those in "Ooh, Ooh, Ooh, Chicken Pot Pie") in order to uncover a sound that is impossible to tack a genre to but worth a listen for that fact alone.
