Flamenco, Tapas, and Sangria at Vagabond Kitchen

On Sunday June 10, the eclectic South Park world bistro Vagabond Kitchen (2310 30th Street) will be paying homage to its Spanish influences by hosting a fundraiser to help send students at the Paloma Aragon flamenco dance studio to Seville, Spain.

From 5 p.m. to 7p.m., a flamenco demonstration will accompany select tapas and sangria for $25.

From the press release:

“Founded in 2006 by its director Dr. Rocío A. Carrera, Paloma Aragón Arte Flamenco is located in the heart of San Diego in the greater Golden Hill area. This art institute offers students of all ages and levels excellence in flamenco education including: dance, guitar, singing, and percussion, in a focused and cordial environment. Ms. Carrera's dance instruction method is specifically designed to efficiently train the dancer to develop muscle strength, elegance, speed and precision, as well as improve posture, body control, grace and expressive beauty. Special emphasis is placed on timing, rhythms and the compas-nuances that give heartbeat to this beautiful art form.”
