Sheriff’s deputies say that the bust of a large-scale marijuana farming operation in the rural North County community of Rainbow on Tuesday afternoon (September 3) could have netted up to $7 million worth of cannabis.
Acting on tips received and other information gathered by the Fallbrook station, local deputies and members of the department’s Narcotics Task Force served a search warrant on a property containing numerous greenhouses on the 2200 block of Rainbow Valley Boulevard. There, they discovered and removed a total of 3,379 marijuana plants.
Just prior to serving the warrant, deputies arrested three unnamed individuals attempting to leave the property who had been observed tending to the grow operation. Each faces marijuana cultivation charges.
