My night out with the girls: we made our way to the beating heart of San Diego nightlife and decided to dine at Jade--an overpriced, mediocre restaurant with a club attached downstairs. The decor was bright and simple in the restaurant. I ordered a bottle of wine which was very reasonably priced considering how expensive everything else was on the menu. I ordered the pho--it was the cheapest thing on the menu and it was not cheap at all!

After finishing up our meal, we were ready to pay our tab. We waited for what seemed like a decade for the waiter to help us with that. When we finally got that situated, we made our way to the club.

It looked like a dungeon and the DJ--with her knee-high, laced-up doc martens and fishnet stalkings--scared me. Her voice was quite hypnotizing against the rave beats coming from the loud speakers. And quite creepy. My friends and I had a table reserved but by the time we got to the dungeon we were all pretty exhausted. Fortunately, none of my friends wanted to see the night through. I was ready to go home for a peaceful night's sleep.
