My favorite holiday.

If you ask people what their favorite holiday is, many of them will say "Christmas, because of the presents." or "Thanksgiving, because of the food."

My favorite holiday is Independence Day. The 4th of July is when I get to spend time with my family without all of the stress of Christmas and Thanksgiving. We just wake up, pack a few things, drive to Mira Mesa Blvd., sit and wait for the parade to start. Then we walk around the Rec for a little bit, my family finds nothing interesting (even though I do) and we go home. When it gets dark we drive back to the Target parking lot, tune into KYXY and watch the fireworks. Some of my best memories have been of Independence Day.

Last year was the best, we actually put up a tent in the Rec. Aunts and uncles came and went, but we were there the entire day. I was hoping this year would be the same but for whatever reason, my aunts, uncles, and cousins are all vacationing in the Philippines (Not together, they all left different days but they're all... there.) My sister and her boyfriend went to the San Diego County Fair, and my mom... wanted to do laundry. I wanted to go to the parade but I gave such short notice, I didn't find anyone who wanted to come) But I guess it's for the best, now my mom's really dizzy and I should be here with her.

10speeds already wrote about how awesome today can be if you take advantage of what the Fourth of July Committee has to offer.

Go check out his blog and I'll finish rambling about myself now. :)
