Everyone keeps asking whats the reason for the Occupy protest going on in over 100 citys in the us, from East to West Coast. I can't speak for everyone but I have a few Ideas and and some Ideas I read about that sound good. So here's my DEMANDS for occupy San Diego. Taking Place this Friday more info at the bottom of the page.

Demand one: Rent Control. How can we ever progress in life as a whole or stimulate the economy when 60% our monthly wages go to rent (I'm speaking for the percentage of people who make 35,000 and under with a family of 3 or more.) For example in my home we make a combined monthly income of $2250.00 a month. Just enough not to qualify for Food Stamps, Rental Assistance, and other government aid. we pay $1150.00 alone in rent, and that doesn't include car payments 281.00 insurance 115.00 SDG&E between $40 - $60(Thanks to the care program), Phone 35(only 1 cell to save money) Cable 120.00 Ridicules(On the verge of letting it go) Gas!, and of course food and other necessities.

Demand Two: Free Collage Education! It doesn't have to be Yale, but can we at least get some free trade schools or some sort of training program. It used to be stranded in high schools in America at one point. But cuts to the system striped us of that. Schools use to offer things like auto mechanics, driving lessons, and other impotent programs that really prepared us for life as productive adults. We can't survive on the knowledge of just Basic Skills (Math, Reading, writing. We need REAL skills.

Demand three: Social Security Reform. Instead of a tax for social security how about a personal account that's paid by the recipient for the recipient. As most of us who watch the news know social security funds are running out fast. Now don't quote me on this but I think they said within 5 years. So we’re paying into something that we most likely will never benefit from. (This System is in place in Chile, and has been pitched by some republicans running for president.)

Demand Four: Reform Section 8 by making it a case by case basis where certain goals are to be met by quarterly till the ultimate goal of self seficantcy is made. This way it won’t put a strain on the system with people abusing it by attempting to not progress for fear of no longer qualifying for the program. The government should consider it an investment in the American people.

Demand five: Begin a fast track process to bring the fossil fuel economy to an end while at the same time bringing the alternative energy economy up to energy demand. WE CAN DO IT! They just don't want too. They would lose too much money. For example if you take away gas engines and replace them with single block electric ones you take away car parts(Carburetors, e-vaps Spark plugs & more), Lower Maintenance and demand in general. And they have to pay you for solar power after a couple months because you’re putting electricity back into the grid. Any real good invention lowers cost and changes lives. Big Exxon and all Energy companies don't like that.

Demand six: One trillion dollars in infrastructure (Water, Sewer, Rail, Roads and Bridges and Electrical Grid) spending now. To stop problems like excessive flooding, earthquake damage, rolling blackouts, and sink holes like the one that happened today in Sorrento Valley. This would also create a lot of jobs for construction and spark buying spree for materials another boost for the economy.

Demand seven: One trillion dollars in ecological restoration planting forests, reestablishing wetlands and the natural flow of river stems and decommissioning of all of America's nuclear power plants. This too would create jobs and better our environment for the long haul.

Demand eight: A more democratic work place for large corporations. In Germany large and small companies hold elections for high powered positions like CEO, CFO, and COO. They also vote for things like large layoffs pay increases and decreases, it's a great way to stop corporate greed. And an end to Dead Peasant Insurance. If you don't know what it is look it up you will be shocked at what Wal-Mart and other large corp. are doing, and Georgia's trying to make it mandatory for all companies. It’s like being spit in the face by your employer. BTW Germany has one of the strongest economy right now with the frank (their money) sharply rising.

Demand Nine: Bring American elections up to international standards of a paper ballot precinct counted and recounted in front of an independent and party observers system. One of the reasons we're seeing gay marriage and the end of don't ask don't tell is because of the UN's international standards.

Demand Ten: Last but never least the FULL legalization of marijuana and drug reform all across the board. This is a health and human rights issue and should be treated like one! Let’s stop running peoples live and increases the price of drugs and profits of those selling them by legalizing it. Argentina a few years ago became the first country to do so and seen a dramatic decrease in crime and drug use especially in kids and teens. Americans and rest of the world are no longer ignorant and should be able to make a decision without fear of prosecution. We should also be better informed on our decision. How are people going to believe you when you say crystal meth is dangerous and can kill you when herbs like weed are Labeled schedule 1 drug with no medical value and placed on the same level of drugs like LSD PCP and Crack. And then you have your medicinal drugs (Schedule 2) Cocaine, Heroin, methadone, and Opium. Those drugs are used to make Vicodin, Oxycontin, Codeine, and more of the most addictive drugs on the planet. With the highest addiction rate in America. They cause physical addictions that come with serious with drawl symptoms. In the long run this would save money in health care, time for courts, and more America would qualify for jobs without having to do drug test, and an overall better quality of living.

REAL CHANGE will NEVER COME FROM OBAMA OR any other POLITICIANS it can only come from US! WE THE PEOPLE! Politicians are too wrapped up in politics, presenting an image, and protecting themselves and their own interest to care what we have to say. So it's time for SAN DIEGO to WAKE UP with the rest of the world and protest! So If you like these Ideas or are just tired of looking for a job or better job with no luck, giving up half or more of your earnings just to have shelter, Or just plain sick of the economic environment and politicians not doing the job that WE over pay them for then I invite you to join me and other like-minded people to occupy San Diego Friday October 7th the group is scheduled to meet at Children's Park, on First Street and Island Avenue, downtown at 3:30 pm. The group will then march to Civic Center Plaza (In front of city hall for a sit in, in solidarity with the New York group, at 4 pm
