i would buzz about ineptly

with no consigned prescription for my souls repair

singly unconvincing

tho little holds body and soul together

and clouds have abstained from traveling in my shadow

was there a time when the breadth of my persona

was infinitely appealing

i don't remember

the blessing of my age

stolen from the beauty of the very young girl

brambles in her hair tousled

smokey longing in her eyes

pouting lips chapped from licking

when her beau without a thought passes her by
