Mother's day sweat
Two opportunities for mothers to sweat before they wait in line for brunch on Mother's Day.
Sunday is Mother’s Day. It is a day I’ve always thought of as pastoral--a day full of flowers and brunches and sentimental greeting cards.
That is all well and good but what about the uber-active mothers who would rather sweat than eat sweets?
There’s the Hot Mama 5K and the Mother’s Day 5K for the Gaia who wants to run first and get brunch later.
The Hot Mama’s 5K has an 8:00 a.m. start time at Bill Cleator Memorial Park and will have live music.
The Mother’s Day 5K starts a half an hour later at Mission Bay’s De Anza Cove. The event is not timed but there is a little tyke 100 meter dash at 9:30 a.m. which gives folks about an hour to complete the 5K.
