The Athenaeum Music & Arts Library (1008 Wall St.) in La Jolla is offering two days of children's art classes (ages 7-12) during the La Jolla Art and Wine Festival on Saturday and Sunday, October 13-14. Creative Collages with Ellen Schumacher will take place on Saturday, October 13 and Kids Mask Making with Christina Snell will be held on Sunday, October 14. The classes will run at 10 a.m., 12:30 p.m., and 3 p.m. on both days. Each two-hour art class is $25-$30 per session and can be purchased at the door or by calling 858-454-5872.
"Enjoy the festival right in the heart of the village on Girard Avenue between Prospect and Kline streets, while your children create imaginative collages with professional art educators Ellen Schumacher and Christina Snell on both days. Drop off your kids for one of three two-hour sessions during the day and enjoy a glass of wine, or browse the art booth while your child has fun being creative," states the event site.
