On Thursday, November 29, Lux After Hours will take place at Lux Art Institute (1550 South El Camino Real). The night begins at 7 p.m. with a cocktail reception and live music followed by a talk by painter Alan Feltus. Visitors will get to see Alan Feltus' project in progress as well as his finished works.
When I visited the studio during Susan Graham's residency, I was able to see her sugar and porcelain pieces hardening before installation, and my studio visit widened my understanding of her installations, and process.
After the artist's talk, guests are invited to gather at Woody's (437 South Hwy 101) in Solana Beach. The event is free for members, and $5 for the public.
