SoCal Vintners Sponsor Summer Music Series
Local vintners run all sorts of promotions to lure wine drinkers through their doors, from grape stomp harvest parties to classic wine related movies or overnight excursion tours into Mexico’s wine country. Some offer live music in outdoor atmospheres. Every Sunday through November, for instance, the Bernardo Winery hosts their free Live Jazz on the Patio series that runs from 2PM until 5PM. Big Band Jazz Machine will play at the Winery on August 24th, tickets $20/$10 for students.
Orfila Vineyards & Winery delivers free live music all weekend with Feel Good Friday, Summer Saturday, and Sundays on the Terrace Concerts. Playing July 14th is Mike Slayen and on July 15th and July 20th, live music will be provided by singer/songwriter Britt Doehring. The July 22 performer is still to be TBD. In support of local gourmet food trucks the Winery prohibits outside food and beverages.
In Temecula, Falkner conducts their Free Jazz on Sundays through October. Local recording artist and saxophonist Jason Weber appears regularly. Music begins at 3PM. Cougar Vineyard and Winery’s Live Music Saturdays begin at 2PM. Oak Mountain Winery’s Live Music in the Pavilion series has live performers both Saturday and Sunday playing from 1PM through 5.
Ramona’s Schwaesdall Winery sponsors an annual Frank and Dean Night featuring Joe Tarentino (date TBD) and is planning free jam sessions. Check their website for updates.
