On Friday, February 22, the Adult Puppet Cabaret will team up with Handmade Puppet Dreams for a night of live puppetry, short films, and music at the Museum of Photographic Arts in Balboa Park.
Heather Henson’s Handmade Puppet Dreams Vol.4, a touring festival of independent films exploring handmade puppetry designed specifically for the camera, will be screened in MoPA’s movie theater along with Sam Koji Hale award-winning puppet short film, Yamasong.
Films start at 8:20 p.m.
Live performances start at 7:20 with works by Jenna Ann McGillis, Max Daily, Mina J. Donner, Strings-n-Things, and musical guests Nice World (née Nicey Nice World), Justine Babyteeth, and Trio Gadjo.

“Animal Cracker Conspiracy was created in 2006 as a collaboration between Bridget Rountree and Iain Gunn. The Adult Puppet Cabaret was born by Animal Cracker Conspiracy's love of short form puppet theatre and as a way to foster and support new work and adult audiences for puppet theatre specifically in San Diego, CA.”
