Home ec studio (2225 30th St) in North Park offers "Bats in the Bellfry," a class that teaches the art of how to appliqué. The class is open to ages 8-80 and will be taught on Sunday, October 21 from 10:00 am - 12:30 p.m.-- just in time for Halloween decorating.

"We're channeling our inner Martha Stewart and itching to make these felt bat garland for Halloween décor. Students will learn basic sewing on the machine and work on the appliqué technique," states Home ec studio. Registration can be completed online. The cost for the class is $65. All materials and tools are provided.
