On Saturday, December 15, nonprofit organization San Diego Writers, Ink is hosting a free holiday party and gallery preview of local artist Blair Thornley's illustrations and paintings. Thornley's work has appeared in The New Yorker, Forbes, and The New York Times.
"It's open to the public, and everyone will get to meet the artist, see these new wondeful pictures and engage in relaxed socializing amidst this busy holiday season," said executive director Amy Locklin. The event celebrates the organization's volunteers and serves as a space for writers, artists, readers, and the community to interact.
"I love the colors, the caharactesr and stories, and the range of styles and materials in Blair's work," Locklin added.
The holiday party at The Ink Spot (710 13th St Studio 210) begins at 4 p.m. and will likely end around 7 p.m. Everyone is invited. Bring some wine or sweets to share at this community gathering.
