On Saturday, September 15, Tammy Greenwood, author of six novels including The Hungry Season teaches a one-day class called So You Want to Write a Novel? The session runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at The Inkspot (710 13th St). Register here as space is limited.
Class details: "So you’ve finally decided to write that novel you’ve been talking about for years? This one day workshop will help you understand the process of writing a novel so you can get started putting pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard). In this four hour class we will focus on everything from generating ideas to developing characters to devising your plot. We will touch on many elements of fiction (dialogue, scene, etc…), but the emphasis will be on discovering the writing process that works best for you."
Tammy Greenwood's bio: "Her seventh novel, Grace, will be published in April of 2012. She has received grants from the Sherwood Anderson Foundation, the Christopher Isherwood Foundation, the National Endowment for the Arts, and the Maryland State Arts Council."
