Will civic San Diego help truly needy?
Don Bauder 7:01 a.m., June 19
The Thin Waxing Crescent Moon makes its debut low in the western sky at dusk tonight (Friday, June 3). The two stars you might spot just lower left of the moon are Castor and Pollux, which represent the heads of the twins (Castor and Pollux) that make up the constellation Gemini. On succeeding evenings at dusk, the crescent moon will look ever fatter, ever higher, and ever brighter in the western sky.
