Brandon Johnson, former University of San Diego basketball hero, today (March 1) was sentenced to serve six months in custody for conspiracy to commit sports bribery. He had pleaded guilty last November. He influenced the outcome of USD games during the 2009-2010 season and solicited a USD player to do the same during the 2010-2011 season. Those who bribed Johnson profited in Vegas casinos to the tune of $120,000. Eight of the ten defendants have pleaded guilty.
