A purse-snatching victim in La Mesa is recovering this morning after being dragged by a car for a short distance outside the Fuddrucker’s restaurant in La Mesa.
At around 6:30 yesterday evening, a woman walking through the Grossmont Center parking lot was approached by two suspects described as black males between 18-20 years old driving a 1990s model tan two-door Saturn. The passenger reached out of the car and grabbed her purse, dragging her for a few feet until she was able to release her grip on the purse.
A search of the area by La Mesa Police and San Diego Sheriff’s deputies was unable to locate the vehicle or suspects. The victim was transported to a local hospital and treated for a wrist injury.

You are assuming that that broken-down mall actually has such things as security cameras. The perps may be well aware that there are none, or are none in the area they were in.
