A woman who went to jail because she said she tried to “rescue” a dog had her case moved to another jurisdiction last week.
Trina Vukov was found guilty of “grand theft dog” after she took a dog that she said was being abused, in August of 2010. After a jury trial in June 2011, a judge sentenced Vukov to 240 days' custody.
Vukov, 48, is now out of custody and will be on probation for five years.
Trina Vukov petitioned a judge in San Diego’s North County Superior Courthouse to have her case moved to Riverside County because she has since moved there. Judge Kirkman granted her request.

The guy on the other end of that "leash" is guilty of animal cruelty. I've had Belgian Malinois, and they can be a handful, but that kind of "control" is no control at all. Methinks the wrong person might have gone to jail.
