Paul E. Jacobs, chief executive of Qualcomm, was among the 50 highest-paid chief executive officers (CEOs) last year, according to today's (April 8) New York Times. Jacobs, son of Qualcomm's co-founder, raked in $21.7 million, topping the median pay of the 100 highest-paid CEOs of $14.4 million. And, of course, Jacobs's pay swamped the average annual American salary of $45,320.
