Burch better but not quite good enough yet

The New York-based Local Initiatives Support Corporation announced the opening of four new offices in the San Diego area today.
The company, funded by federal Social Innovation Fund grants and donations from United Way, San Diego Gas & Electric, Walmart, Bank of America, and the Citi Foundation, aims to help low income San Diegans net higher-paying jobs and build net worth. Services offered include financial counseling and coaching, job training and placement, and public benefits support.
Facilities opening include the Home Start Financial Opportunity Center at 404 Euclid in San Diego, the San Diego Housing Commission Financial Opportunity Center, and the North County Lifeline Financial Opportunity Center in Oceanside. Also opening is the International Rescue Committee Financial Opportunity Center, which will provide outreach and assistance to newly arrived immigrants in the City Heights area.
