Fourth of July fireworks in San Diego rival St. Patrick's Day for biggest bang ever! By 5 p.m., you can't ride your bike on the Mission Bay boardwalk, the parties bulge at the seam and people jostle for an inch of sand. Here are some of our favorite God Bless America celebrations from downtown San Diego to Laguna Beach.
Manchester Grand Hyatt, San Diego, CA: The 40-story Manchester Grand Hyatt has unrivaled vistas of the San Diego Bay. Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina, San Diego: Celebrate Independence Day with a patriotic weekend at the bayside Sheraton San Diego Hotel and Marina hotel! Offering front row seats from Harbor Island of San Diego's 'Big Bay Boom' fireworks spectacular from over 1000 of their rooms and grounds, the Sheraton will offer a fun BBQ on the hotel's Bay View Lawn. Open to the public, the BBQ picnic will feature a Stone Brewery pop-up beer garden experience, a drum band, cash food and beverage concessions featuring burgers, hot dogs, salads and more as well as an astro jump and special kids area, and a special visit from the local fire department for kids to take photos in the firetruck and with the firefighters.
